Fleetcoach acknowledged for its efforts to drive down road risk across Australasia

Fleetcoach has made it into the finals of the 2023 Australasian Fleet Champions Awards "Best Fleet Safety Product" category.

Fleetcoach has made it into the finals of the 2023 Australasian Fleet Champions Awards "Best Fleet Safety Product" category. Based out of Christchurch, Fleetcoach provides online driver training to hundreds of thousands of employees across Australia and New Zealand.

Organised by Brake, the road safety charity, and supported by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport, the awards, in their ninth year, acknowledge organisations dedicated to reducing road accidents and injuries across Australia and New Zealand.

We are honoured to be recognised for the work that we do. Fleetcoach was started to combat our tragically high road toll in New Zealand, focussing on supporting businesses to encourage their employees' good driving behaviour and reduce behaviours that cause incidents, "explains Craig Cockerton, Fleetcoach Chief Operating Officer.

“We saw a need for driver training that went above and beyond manual driving skills. How someone feels when they get into a car directly impacts how they drive, so if they’re stressed or angry, they’re more likely to get impatient behind the wheel, and that’s when accidents happen.

“Our training invites drivers to be ‘force multipliers’, giving them the skills and tools to be safer drivers for themselves and share those skills with friends and family easily.”

The 2023 Australasian Fleet Champion Awards winners will be announced in Auckland on Thursday, 19 October.
