Here's a story from the amazing Brake charity in the UK. They've launched a new campaign which is based on the following combination of findings:
- Most adults are not getting their recommended daily amount of exercise
- Many adults admit to driving when they could have walked, and many believe that cars are used far too much
- Deaths and injuries on the roads are commonplace, caused by - you guessed it - driving.
So, the solution? Less driving, more walking, more exercise, less crashes! Instead of focusing just on making roads safer and drivers more careful, what if we drove less altogether?
What do you think of the campaign? You can read more about it here, including more on the statistics that have led to these findings.
